Kroger Private Selection Upside Down Cake

{EAV:66f0f71d3834903f} Bzzagent gave me a free coupon to try out their new product called Private Selection Upside Down Cake.  It comes in three varieties:  Double Chocolate Molten, German Chocolate Fudge and Amber Honey Apple Spice.  The retail value is $9.99.  I used my coupon to get the German Chocolate Fudge Upside Down cake.

The cake is huge.  You definitely get your money's worth.  It's easy to prepare.  You just warm it up in the microwave for a few minutes and it's ready to go.  I have to say it was delicious.  It was creamy and sweet.  There is plenty of coconut sprinkled throughout the cake.  The caramel had just the right amount of sweetness.  The cake was a big hit with my family and friends.  I would highly recommend that anyone try this cake.  It is fabulous.

  1. This past Saturday I did make a upside down chocolate german cake for my husband. I ended up using a recipe from my Joy of Cooking (the new version) cook book. The cake tasted wonderful! The recipe in my cook book is pretty similar to Sneezles but doesn't use the syrup. I used the coconut pecan icing cake in the book and it was good! It looks very similar to what sneezles listed.
